Pike angler George Greenwood added yet another double figure specimen to his vast list of Pike caught this year already. George decided to fish one of his favourite swims of The Old Carp Lake, 'Roger's Swim', and was delighted with the capture of this 14lb 3oz Pike.

Due to the Catfish that patrol 'The Old Carp Lake' of Llyn Y Gors, treble hooks are not allowed and only single hook rigs are allowed to be used. Ready made single hook rigs can be purchased from the huge new tackle shop made expertly by the staff although George and Linda Greenwood prefer to use their own expertise to tie their own. Lamprey and Smelt are the preferred bait at the moment for catching the majority of Pike.
