14lb Mirror Carp

Alan Williams from the Wirral enjoyed his first session on the Old Carp Lake during a week with us in Dappledown cottage. After having a productive week on the Match and Pleasure Lakes with numerous nets over 80 - 90 lb, Alan decided to go for a specimen carp and was not disappointed. After setting up in Roger's Swim, Alan cast to a pre-baited area and was not long before he netted a 14 lb mirror. It was an excellent weeks fishing from a very happy angler. Nick Slater landed six fish to during a 48 hour session in the "Old Bay" swim. Nick fished Richworth K-G-1 boilies producing three mirrors to 16 lb and three commons to just over 12 lb.
