The year has really kicked off with a bang on the side of specimen fishing with a whole host of fish being caught in quick succession on Thompson's Pool as well as Ian Walker catching a fantastic 18lb Ghost Carp off of The Old Carp Lake. Dave Welsby, John Aspinall and Tony Edgar all proved to be in the right place on Thompson's banking three amazing fish.

Some great form of fishing has been found this week at Llyn Y Gors on the specimen lakes with Tony Egdar showing great success once again on Thompson's Pool as he banked a 22lb Mirror Carp whilst Wes Williams and Nick Slater enjoyed some great angling on The Old Carp Lake with Carp up to 14lb. Meanwhile as shown by 11 year old Darren Walker, predator fishing is going well with a 14lb beauty.

Joe Wilkson enjoyed a fantastic time on Thompson's Pool as he smashed his previous personal best by banking a fabulous 29lb 12oz Mirror Carp. On The Old Carp Lake Pike have also been in abundance alongside Carp with both Phil Carrington and Daniel Congrave benefiting from the Predator angling sessions. Meanwhile little Ian Walker also netted some great Carp on the Match Lake.
