Local specimen angler Phil Owen caught his first fish from Thompson's Pool with a brace of mirrors weighing 21 lb and 25 lb. Phil who normally fishes the Old Carp Lake changed to Thompson's and was over the moon with his success. Phil fished Nash Whisky boilies and set up on the "Double Bay".
