The PR38 is the same pattern as the PR36 but with a stronger wire to suit all match carping situations. The out turned eye of the PR38 has been developed to improve hooking performance when using hair-rigs and the knotless knots. In fishing situations the PR38 has been designed so that when a fish picks up the bait and moves off the point is more exposed and more likely to prick the fish. Once this happens the fish bolts, or you strike, and the hook penetrates immediately.
