Linda this week diverted her attention away from the usual Pike with great success from 'The Cliffs' swim of The Old Carp Lake. Linda's rod screamed off with a long 14lb 3oz Common/Ghost Carp the end result after fishing the channels between the islands.

Barrie Thomas, probably the most successful angler on Thompson's Pool, has once again delivered an absolute corker by catching the prolifically known Mirror Carp, Spot. Weighing in at a tremendous 29lb 6oz this time, Spot is a gorgeous big bellied Mirror Carp who is enjoying the feed on Thompson's Pool as much as the others and scoffed Barrie's offerings from 'Double Bay' left swim.

Steven May this week dedicated his 16lb 4oz Fully Scaled Mirror to Nick in credit of all the help and advise he had given him in his search for a fish on Thompson's Pool. Searching around the Double Bay swim Steven finally got his reward with this beauty and also got his treasured Catfish from 'The Point' swim of The Old Carp Lake with an impressive Squid Rig.

John Aspinall produced another stunning fish once again to add to his tally on Thompson's Pool with a cracking 25lb 5oz Mirror Carp. John decided to fish 'The Aquarium' swim and succeeded after baiting up an area with crushed frozen boilies and pellet.

Young angler Tom Webb enjoyed a highly prolific session on The Old Carp Lake with plenty of the fish feeding aroung multiple areas. Using popped up baby squid Tom caught the second Catfish of 2008 weighing in at a fantastic 19lb 7oz. Whilst Tom also had great success on the Carp front as well as he banked a 12lb Mirror Carp and a 13lb Common Carp.

Mark Davidson managed to catch his personal best this week by 10oz with this stunning Common Carp from Thompson's Pool that weighed in at 22lb 14oz. Mark was fishing the 'Nightmare' swim and cast to a rolling fish towards the end of his session with a 15mm frozen boilie accompanied by a pva bag and this was his reward.

Dave Rutledge was delighted this week with this absolutely gorgeous 18lb Common Carp banked from 'The Karpium'. Dave was fishing over the left hand side of the lake on 'Linear Cove' and netted this fish by casting a Llyn Y Gors L1 boilie with a small PVA bag to a showing fish.

Another fantastic fish was caught out of the Karpium this week with a third of the fish being above the 20lb mark. This 20lb 8oz Mirror was caught from 'O' Gormans' swim using a spicy frozen boilie accompanied by a small pva bag by Rob Bowen.
