		REED LAKE STOCKING - LAKE SET TO OPEN 1ST MARCH 2010
		1,400 fish have been added to Reed Lake which is set to open on the 1st March 2010. 800 Bream and 600 Tench have gone into the lake on top of 1,200 Roach to 1 1/2lbs. (Full Story and Pictures)
		Linda Greenwood - 18lb 2oz Pike - The Old Carp Lake
		Linda Greenwood had a fantastic Pike whilst fishing from Derek's Mountain on The Old Carp Lake weighing in at 18lb 2oz. Linda was using Smelt as a deadbait and this certainly worked well.
		Dion - 11lb 12oz Common Carp - The Old Carp Lake
		Dion braved the cold Winter temperatures to successfully land this 11lb 12oz Common Carp from The Door of The Old Carp Lake using Nash Mach 1 15mm frozen boilies.
		REED LAKE - OPEN MID-FEBRUARY 2009
		A transformation has taken place at Llyn Y Gors with a new lake being built. The two sides of the Karpium have been segregated and all of the Carp have been moved to the right hand side which is now on stunning specimen form. The left hand side has now been named Reed Lake and will become a specialist Tench and Bream lake. The lake is being prepared and will be opened in Mid-November with a whole host of anglers looking forward to it!!
		Nick Slater - 17lb 12oz Common Carp - The Karpium
		With all of the Carp being moved into the right hand side of the Karpium, the lakes is absolutely on fire at the moment with all the fish competing heavily for food before the cold Winter months. Nick continues to have great success on The Karpium using Smartbait frozen boilies. Using the high attracting Smartbait L1 boilies Nick bagged a beautiful 17lb 12oz Common Carp whilst fishing 'The Sump' of The Karpium. Nick pre-baited 2kg of Smartbait L1 boilies and fished off the tail of the bait to ensure minimal spooking. It certainly worked!
		Liam Dean - 19lb 15oz Common Carp - The Karpium
		Liam Dean got in on the action over the Karpium with a lovely 19lb 15oz Common Carp captured from 'Pablos Island'. Liam was using a flourocarbon hooklength with a 10mm Nash Scopex Squid Liver flouro pop up, placed amongst frozen 10mm and 15mm Nash boilies. Great fishing from the young Liverpool angler!
		Osian - 18lb 15oz Common Carp - The Karpium
		Osian caught his personal best this week with a stunning 18lb 15oz Common Carp using Mainline Cell 15mm frozen boilies. Osian fished over the top of a bed of pellet and frozen boilies using a short braided hooklength and was absolutely over the moon with his personal best capture.
		Paul Hughes - 15lb 2oz Pike - The Old Carp Lake
		Paul Hughes was delighted with this stonking 15lb 2oz caught from The Old Carp Lake. Paul was using Lamprey dead bait with high oil leakage which enticed to the Pike to the deadbait. Paul was using two Size 6 Hooks on a sliding rig as trebles cannot be used due to the Catfish in the lake. Ready made Pike Rigs with single hooks can be purchased from the tackle shop.
		Luke Roberts - 13lb 7oz Mirror Carp - The Old Carp Lake
		Luke Roberts, aged 9, caught a fantastic 13lb 7oz Mirror Carp from 'Derek's Mountain' of The Old Carp Lake fishing on the fair side of the lake tight to the lillpads nearest the island. Luke wrote in to thank fishery assistant Nick Slater for all his help and assistance in catching a fish that made his week!
		Wayne Riley - 9lb 10oz Common Carp - The Old Carp Lake
		Wayne Riley weighed in with a nice 9lb 10oz Common Carp this week whilst fishing a short session on 'The Backs' of The Old Carp Lake. Wayne was using Solar Tackle 14mm frozen BYT boilies and it certainly paid off on a short 20lb Fox hooklength fished over a large bed of bait.
		Nick Slater - 11lb 4oz Mirror Carp - The Old Carp Lake
		Nick Slater caught this lovely 11lb 4oz Mirror Carp whilst fishing a day session on 'The Old Bay' of The Old Carp Lake. Nick was fishing using Smartbait L1 Boilies exclusively sold at Llyn Y Gors fishery and www.fishingwarehouseshop.co.uk
		Kevin Park - 24lb 7oz Mirror Carp - Thompson's Pool
		Kevin's good form continued on Thompson's Pool as he weighed in this lovely 24lb 7oz Mirror Carp. Kevin was once again using his Quest Baits Special Crab frozen boilies and the fish have certainly reacted to this flavour of boilie on Thompson's Pool. Kevin has been feeding the lake consistently with these frozen boilies and pellet and the fish have responded in great style shown by the captures. A one hundred percent record of three sessions and three fish for the angler.
		Kevin Park- "Shoulders - 33lb 8oz- Thompsons Aquarium
		Kevin Park (pictured) has had a an amazing couple of sessionson Thompsons, the first 24hrs he did back in June resulted in a stunning nearly full leather 24lb mirror, a new PB, not bad, but then he returned to better his PB and smashed it by 9lb when he hooked into the stunning 'Shoulders'. Using his faithful Questbaits "Special Crab" boilies at 7am the morning he was to leave his alarm screamed off, fishing the Aquarium Swim. "I was just packing up and thinking i was going to blank and the alarm rattled off." . Playing it for about 20 mins he finally netted his new PB at 33.8lb. Not only did he have his first thirty but he smashed his PB by a stunning 9lb. Not bad for only his second time on Thompsons. Fishing a size 7 ESP Raptor tied to Korda Stiff link on a Quest Special Crab pop up glugged in the Quest dip on a running rig did the trick. Kevin 31 said "I would like to thank the guys who work in the Tackle Shop , if it wasn't for them my dream would'nt have come true. Cheers".
		Andy Hood - 24lb Catfish - The Old Carp Lake
		With his first Catfish, a 24lb model, Andy was over the moon. MB baits Tuna boilies worked for him in this instance.
		Carl Hardwick - 16lb 3oz Common The Karpium
		It was caught in the margins which Carl had been feeding from 3pm till nightfall which seemed to trick this little fella at 0230, it was caught on two 10mm boilies.
		ADAM SMITH 25lb - FIRST CATFISH
		17 year old Adam Smith from Stockport was fishing on "The Backs" on the Old Carp Lake and landed his first Catfish - 25lb. Fishing Dynamite Halibut boilies he had targeted an area close to left the edge of the island some 25 yards out . A Korda flat pear bolt rig combined with Korda Wide Gape hook to braid proved successful.
		LEE DUNN 28lb - FIRST CATFISH - NEW OLD CARP LAKE RECORD
		Lee Dunn made it a trip to remember with his first catfish and also a new record Old Carp Lake at 28lb. Fishing "Catfish Channel" on Fox Steel 20lb line with popped up lobworm he followed up with another of 14LB 10OZ. Lee makes it to the top of the Catfish leader board for this lake and stands to win a £200 voucher for tackle donated by www.fishingwarehouseshop.co.uk.
		BARRY THOMAS "SPOT" 31LB 6OZ
		Upon seeing a fish feeding some 20 yards out in the Aquarium swim on Thompsons Pool Barry was tempted to cover it immediately but decided against this opting to put a bait on the same area the next night. No sign as of dark he thought he had missed his chance. However at 2pm after a screaming run and a decent fight "Spot" was in the landing net at its top weight to date. Bait was 12mm MB Enzime+, Line 15lb Fox Illusion,Hooklink Kryston Snake Skin with Fox Series 5 size 8 Hook. Another mirror followed at 5am at 23lb.
