After some great weeks of specimen fishing, Llyn Y
Gors welcomed the final heat of The Wales Carp Masters 2007. In appallingly
wet and windy conditions, two pairs battled it out for their entry into
the competition final. With some great fishing being displayed the match
was very tight to the end with the lead consistently changing hands. Tony
Edgar and Jamie Bream triumphed catching four fish with the biggest weighing
in at 11lb despite the best efforts of Nathan Perkins and Tom Wallace
who landed two Mirror Carp up to 14lb 8oz. All in all a great competition
heat despite the weather and congratulations to both pairs who fished
very well in the circumstances. Meanwhile on the other side of the lake
used as a taster session for non-entry anglers, Stuart Bennion and Jon
Trotter enjoyed some great fishing catching 10 fish between them up to
14lb.
