Two young 15 year olds put the rest to shame this week on Thompon's Pool with an astonishing catch rate of Three fish in 48 hours and the biggest being 29lb 4oz. With this in mind, Barrie Thomas also fancied a crack at the Pool and successfully delivered with an immaculate 22lb Common Carp. Likewise Ian Walker caught a beautiful and previously uncaught 19lb Mirror in a great round up to a specimens week of fishing.

Tremendous endurance has been shown this week by enthusiastic fisherman Joe Newby who has persevered on Thompson's Pool leading to this cracking personal best of 19lb. Mark Davidson also banked an 18lb Mirror Carp on Thompson's Pool whilst plenty of personal bests also arrived on The Old Carp Lake including the first catfish of the new year by Daniel Hood; a stonking 21lb 9oz Specimen.

Monday 16th April - Sunday 22nd April

This weeks pick of the week has to be an amazing 48 hour session performed by Steven May on the Old Carp Lake which resulted in Ten Carp up to 11lb as well as Four Catfish up to 19lb. Some fantastic fishing in gorgeous weather at Llyn Y Gors in Anglesey. In addition to this Barrie Thomas carried on his fine form on Thompson's Pool netting a beautiful fully scaled Mirror Carp of 18lb. Nick Slater and Daniel Congrave also continued the catching trend including a personal best.

Catfish were aplenty during a superb weeks fishing here at Llyn Y Gors with the biggest weight being Joe Chamber's capture at 28lb on Thompson's Pool. A valiant effort was also made by Steve Burrows who had a fantastic session on the Old Carp Lake netting Five Carp up to 15lb and Four Catfish weighing up to 21lb. Oz Rowlands also enjoyed the sunshine and fishing producing five great fishing with the heaviest at 14lb 10oz.
