Fred Pook had a weeks holiday in Dappledown and enjoyed
a good variety of sport. Fred started off on the match and pleasure lakes
with consistent nets of over 50 lb on the tip. Fred fished corn on the
feeder catching carp to over 6 lb. The Old Carp Lake was next for the
Newton-Le-Willows angler and had plenty of jack pike around the 5 lb mark.
The biggest of the session was an 11 lb predator pictured above.
Match Lake is fishing well, pole anglers best tactic
is pellet tight to the island. Corn and 10 mm boilies on the leger producing
the goods on the pleasure lake for carp over 7 lb. Maggot good bait for
silver with roach to 1 lb 8 oz and perch over 2 lb.
