The Wychwood Rapier 3lb Test Curve Carp Rods are a great product that allows smooth casting action along with superb fish playing action. There is a nice tip action for smaller fish whilst the heaviness and stiffness of the 3lb test curve allows good flexibility for bigger fish and casting with PVA bags. The slim blank is extremely pleasing to the eye and as a nice touch the landing net comes with the same blank. The price at £99.99 is not to out of reach for the intermediate angler wanting to go for a higher class rod yet when compared to others in the price range still outclasses many of its competitors even at the retail price of £149.99!

There is of course very stiff competition in the area of £100 Carp rods with the Nash Pursuit Carp Rods and the Greys Prodigy rods retailing at roughly the same price yet the Wychwood Rapier set up offers fantastic value for money. Also in the Rapier range is the Rapier reel for those anglers wishing for matching sets but the Wychwood Rapier Carp Rod along with any reel is a fantastic angling set.
